The 72nd Annual Semana Nautica Summer Sports Festival will run 
from July 1st to July 12th, 2009.  





The Santa Barbara Semana Nautica Association is a non-profit 
organization that seeks to promote athletic and recreational activity in 
Santa Barbara by holding a series of mostly athletic events every summer. 
We expect thousands of participants this year from Santa Barbara and 
other communities in California and neighboring states. We encourage 
participants and spectators to be a part of what we believe is the largest 
and longest running festival of its kind  in the U.S. 



Santa Barbara's annual sports festival includes activities such as ocean 
swimming, age group and masters swimming, fishing, water polo, 
volleyball, beach biathlon, 15k road race, cycling, sailing, lawn bowling, 
speafishing, adaptive paddling, tennis, water polo, inline hockey, 
basketball, gymnastics, softball, semipro baseball, 
tug-of-war and the perennial favorite, the Krazy Kardboard Kayak Race!

We also sponsor an annual Summer Art Show, which is exhibited at the
Cabrillo Pavilion Arts Center, 1118 East Cabrillo Boulevard.

Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome and admission is 
always free for spectators.
